Pre-service EFL Teachers' Conceptions of Assessment During Their Teaching Practicum

Teacher education programs across the globe include a practicum as required part of their curriculum. The is also viewed gateway between theoretical and practical aspects teaching, enabling prospective teachers to acquire specific skills approaches they will need in classroom. Teaching provides pre-service EFL with opportunity put assessment knowledge into practice. During teaching practicum, may encounter extraordinary changes. This study reports on conceptions during practicum. Some contextual factors shaping are observed. By utilizing mixed-method study, this adopted model participant selection. In case, quantitative method carried out before qualitative method. data was used identify participants for portion mixed-methods study. results showed that agreed main objective an enhance process learning validate students’ schools’ accountability. factors, such school culture, national policy, classroom reality, revealed influencing findings imply governments, policymakers, curriculum developers must collaborate educators achieve common goals. policy be created manner avoids conflict teachers’ beliefs practices.
